Our approach is based on years of assessing organisations (whole and functional) using all the well established project management maturity models. What makes us different is that we know the real challenges project face and what needs to be in place to make projects successful.
Not only do we assess your current environment better than any questionnaire can, through analysis of past project documentation and interviews, our goal is to provide the most pragmatic way (or number of ways) forward based on the constraints you operate within. Other approaches use questionnaires to simply identify gaps and then give you the list that fills them, without regard.
We identify your organisations project management strengths and weaknesses compared to best practice. We focus on the knowledge areas needed for your particular situation to "consistently" deliver successful projects. We identify all individualised ad-hoc processes and then determine if they are repeatable. We ensure that the processes you have proven repeatable are defined and look at how you continually improve how you manage, measure and control your projects, until your approach is completely optimised.
We map the best possible way forward for improvement, building on strengths, filling all gaps in a pragmatic manner. In the areas that need of improvement, we work with your nominated team, to choose the areas of top priority.
We are not tied into any of the competing maturity models (PRINCE2, P3M3 etc.) and so we do not arrive ready to take you down those routes. We know the importance of first and foremost, listening to your ambitions, understanding your organisational capabilities and how projects relate to your strategy.
