Ideal Prerequisites

Experience working with groups, member of a project team
Demonstrable business analysis experience
Background in a domain related to anticipated projects: IT, HR, finance, procurement
Strong communication skills, written, presentation, reporting
Strong time management skills, multitasker who meets deadlines effectively

Course Objective

Upon completion, trainees will have sufficient specialised knowledge and understanding of projects to analyse effectively and act as an informed project support member, directed by the project management office manager.

They will have a specialised knowledge in analysing project goals, an understanding of the organisations value proposition, resource capabilities and ability to capacity to change, be able to analyse project processes, procedures, tools, techniques and structures to evaluate their effectiveness and efficiency.

Project Environment: key project concepts, organisational and project environment differences, project types, life cycles, outputs, outcomes & benefits
Roles, Responsibilities, Relationships: project analyst, project manager and team
Working With Project Teams: influencing skills, project problem solving tools
Initiation Stage: project definition and set up
Planning Stage: analysis tools for planning, scope, schedules, budgets, quality & risk
Execution Stage: project monitoring, controlling and progress reporting
Close Stage: analysis closure, benefits realisation and maximising learning
